Services Provided: Access Control System Installation, Fob Activation, Mobile Access Integration
Ameritechs was recently hired to upgrade the security system at a local mobile home park. With multiple entry points and a variety of restricted areas, like laundry rooms, clubhouses, storage facilities, and maintenance rooms. The park management needed a way to better control who had access to what.
Their goal was to establish a more secure environment for residents while simplifying access for staff and authorized visitors.
What Is Access Control?
Access control is a security system designed to manage who can enter or exit a building, room, or gate without relying on traditional keys. These systems typically use electronic locks that are triggered by fob cards, keypads, mobile phones, or a combination of access credentials. Permissions can be customized for each user, allowing management to decide who gets in, when, and where.
Project Goals:
Increase security for residents by limiting access to common areas and restricted zones
Allow flexible access options for staff and authorized personnel
Eliminate the need for physical keys, which can be lost, copied, or misused
Provide mobile access for on-site and remote management
Our Solution
Ameritechs installed a comprehensive access control system across every door in the mobile home park, including gates, clubhouse doors, storage areas, utility rooms, and laundry facilities. Each entry point was equipped with electronic locking hardware connected to a central management system.
We issued and activated fob cards for residents, staff, and maintenance crews, giving them secure, easy access to approved areas. We also enabled mobile phone access, allowing users to unlock doors via a secure app. This was especially helpful for park management, who now have full control over access even when offsite.
Results!
The access control upgrade at the mobile home park marked a major improvement in security and operational control. Every critical door across the property is now equipped with smart access, allowing management to clearly define who can access specific areas and when. The successful activation of both fob cards and mobile phone entry options gives staff and authorized personnel flexible, keyless access without compromising security. One of the most valuable accomplishments was implementing a centralized system that allows management to add or revoke access instantly, monitor usage, and maintain complete oversight of the park’s entry points. This project modernized the park’s infrastructure and positioned it for safer, more efficient day-to-day operations.
